Hi Rathbone.

He's a wee man who I believe used to sell soap (hence the name).

I think some of the scallies used to stick bars of soap through his letter box before we moved in.

One of the houses in Beechmount Pass was allegedly haunted by a Poltergeist who used to beat up the man who lived there with his family.
His mates thought he was seeing things until he brought them round with Father O'Donnell from Clonard.
It is documented somewhere what was seen and there is apparently a book written about thw whole experience.
It's supposed to be quite scarey too!

Al,

I think they used to live up beside Pocky Rock (great kid who sadly passed away i heard) and then moved round near the O'neils to the McGoldricks house.

I think the Poltergeist followed them too.

I remember her as a lovely wee woman.

On  a different note there was also a bloke who lived a couple of doors down called Danny Nolan (AKA screwball)

Zippy....

Are you referring to Barney O'Neill's family by chance?
