x-xpat back living at home
« on: July 12, 2008, 07:45:07 AM »

We lived in Belgium for 8 yrs and I would love to get chatting to people who live there as I really miss the country, the lifestyle etc etc but we're back living in Bangor.

Hello Lippy Welcome to the forum. I didn't live in Belgium but went there for a month at a time insummer under the Eurochildren programme. I keep in touch with my host family and try to return there when I'm back home :)

Hi Lippy, my husband currently working in Belgium (Koksijde). We had an apartment there, really lovely right on the beach front)  I  miss all the little pavement cafes, especially now that its summer. However we now travel between Holland and Belgium as our permanent apartment is in Holland. I say permanent until we up sticks and move again. (His job)
Lippy I love going over to Belfast and Dublin.  I find the people in Ireland really so friendly and more than helpful if you are trying to find your way around. They go right out of their way to help.
My Flemish/French/Dutch is not good at all. .so its hand signals for me.
Hope you enjoy being back in Ireland as much as i do going there.
Cara  :)
