My grand father was John Garland band Major sitting to  the right of the drum holding his Baton  . I would be very inertested to see any pictures You may have from that time .

I have several photos of the bands.
Fife and drum.
Brass and Reed.
IRA band.
Dublin command band.
All under the command of Doherty 1922.
I am nearly finished a book on the founding of the Army bands before fitzbrassy turn them from marching bands to an orchestra band.
Ill get as much information as I can for you and send the book directly to you for viewing.
There's a vast amount of information I am sure there will be photos of your Mr garland.
He sourced most of his men from St Peters band Belfast. 2/3years before a German took over. Proud to have an Irish man lead the band.
