I'd love to see some pictures of the Shore Road from the 60's up to the late 80's.

I've lived on the Shore Road most of my life, and I remember so many shops that are now gone / changed. Things like Harry the barber who worked at the old flats, then moved to besides the dentist where the Golden Fry is (oh, and Jacksons newsagents in the same row).
I was just going to ask if anyone had photos of the shore rd do you remember the lido?

i was born on the shore rd in 1957,in the old prefabs or bunglaows does anyone recall them ?,they used to burst into flames for no reason ,the place was alive with rats ,as it backed onto the tip head .i know now that the motorway runs over the area .
do you remember going to the (beach) at greencastle and collecting Wheilks its sounds awfull now to think of it :-[

Rob did you ma`s one have a fridge built in? ours did, O0 O0 mind you when they left the prefabs in 56 she didn't get another fridge until I got married and bought her one in 1975 ;D ;D
