Yes and the Australian govt too.   At the moment it is quite difficult for young ....er?  people to get a foot on the property ladder.   Here the govt is offering a fair amount of money to first time homebuyers as an incentive.

Just off this subject. .M ....did you know that there is a webcam inside Clonard and you can view what happens.   You might have gone there and it might be of interest to you.
Happy St Patrick's Day to you and Bloomfield and to everyone else. O0

I'm fine, just had an omnibus Birthday party for 3 people.

My friend let me sample 30 year old Brandy, $1,000 a bottle, it was nice, but not worth the price, way too much for my pocket. :o

I took the plunge today and bought a 46 inch Sony LCD TV, looking forward to having it delivered on Friday. 8)

Are you still up to your armpits in flood water  ???

The really expensive Brandy or wine isn't reallt appreciated by anyone other than an expert.

We had 729 mils in about 12 hrs but the water runs off the mountain and out to sea very quickly....it is a flood delta here but we are fine.

The L.C.D.  t.v would be good.  When I was in N.I. during July they were a feature on many walls.  We don't have one but your t.v. programmes are probably better than ours or ...well we don't have the cold Winters that you have.   I went to my first ice hockey game in 2000 when we visited Canada.
There must be lots of N.I. people in Canada.  I have come across two in the past week thro the forum and it was a pleasant experience  .?
One member had me believing for a second that he was on Moore St ( near us)   but he was on google. .that was good.
How is the weather with you.?  that little car that we bought for number 2 son to learn to drive in is a gem.  The 3rd gear in the v.w. polo is very good and it sticks to the road like glue.  I found out the cost of a new one but I don't think that I would pay the asking price for a new one as itt's much more than other comparable cars..
Sorry this is a thread about an entirely different subject ....in future I will use the P.M.  Good to talk to you. O0

I heard that the property prices in Belfast are to drop by 37% by 2009
Any truth in this ?

If so, I can still hope for my wee cottage on Lough Erne

Hope so Stewie even though I want that cottage   I was looking at the 4 sale signs in the streets of the Falls and I have never seen so many in my life   Are there few buyers or can the buyers just not able to get the mortgages ?
