Fat Bat

My sister travelled from A/Town to Stella Maris approx. 1963-68.
Funny we were just tallkg about the school last night and she said the  travelling time was dreadful.
Two bus journeys.  But in those days, there were no other secondary schools in the area and there was no other choice.

PS  - What made you choose the above name (FB), I'm sure you could have chosen a more flattering name!!!

I was in 2b in 1967/68. Played football for the school. Scored the winning goal against Hopefield. Had a few mates, Aidan Devlin, Eddie McKee & Bobby Sands. I lived in Rathcoole. Got the [censored] kicked out of me the night Celtic won the European cup. I didn't even support them lol.

Does anyone remember Mr Hickland being the music teacher, also played for a group called The California Brakemen, and managing the soccer team. Mr Curtin was headmaster at the time. Mr Cunningham PT teacher.

Hi Brendan. My name is David Hollis our family lived together in Ardgart Place. You’re Ann, joe, Margaret, Gerald John.brendan, late Christine. The last time I was in your house was 13 Rathcoole Drive. I was coming home from the night shift on the bus .outside I noticed your door was painted and you children and granny where in nerves. I offered to clean the door but your granny said no as she was frightened I would get into trouble. Could you pass on my family regards to all. Last time I seen joe was at your granny’s funeral. Used to see Ann sometimes. David Hollis. Would love to be in touch.
