FALL IN CANADA.
« on: September 23, 2008, 08:26:45 PM »

WHEN HORTON,S " ROLL UP THE RIM "  RETURNS

WHEN BEACH TOWNS BECOME GHOST TOWNS

      WHEN ITS ELECTION TIME

WHEN YOU SWITCH BACK FROM BEER TO RYE.

WHEN THE TURKEYS RUN FOR THEIR LIVES.

WHEN THE NUDE BEACH CLOSES ON T.O. ISLANDS.

WHEN WPG. GOES FROM +30 TO -30.

Hi "weedotty"

we are having extremely good weather and I believe it is to be sunny all week.

I can take that easy. I am not a winter person.

Val  :)

well girls, we had 29c over the weekend and its 18c now at 6pm,rest of week looks good.

when gas prices drop after gouging us all summer. ...normally. ::)

when the christmas music starts in the malls

when every bird that can fly leaves.

when the racoons return to your roofspace.

when vancouverites notice the rain getting colder.

Hi Val, glad you are in for more sunshine. Like you, I don't get overly excited once fall starts and less enthused when winter shows up.

Good words there Moorsy...what about the Vancouverites turning to rust with so much rain :P :P

My best friend and her hubby are on honeymoon in Canada just now, I recieved photos of  Campbell River, Qualacum beach, Seymour Narrows and forbidden Plateau at Mount Washington. Truly awesome. There are also overhead shots of the Rockies. By the sound of their emails, they are having a wonderful time.  :) :)

Hi Deb,
First two are on Vancouver Island and Qualicum Beach is very nice, great area for surfing and fishing. Second two, we haven't been to.
Glad your friends are enjoying our part of the world.

They are thinking of moving to that general area, so with any luck I'll see it for myself when we go over to visit. I have only ever been to Toronto, Montreal and Quebec, with a day at Niagara Falls etc., so I'm looking forward to exploring more O0

Fall is my favourite time of year here in Ontario

I love the fall fairs & the hot or cold fresh cider

The hunt for a perfect pumpkin

The parade of ghosts & gremlins on Halloween night

The colours on the trees are so beautiful and best of all

No more mosquitoes !! ;)

CHARA,    We still have the mosquitoes around the cottage,  no frost yet to kill them.

Two fall suppers already this year, one Ukrainian,so a bit different from the usual turkey.

Where are you in Ontario ??.

Any of you Canadians read the thrillers by Giles Blunt?
