Belfast city nightlife for 30 and 40 somethings
« on: January 06, 2009, 04:19:26 PM »
A group of guys from Glasgow are coming over in March for a Friday/Saturday night stay, we will be looking to go to some bars that have a 30 something crowd, can any of you nice Belfast people keep us on the right road? :)

That's a good idea Al. There are great bars and good entertainment in that part of town. The John Hewitt in Donegall Street and the Duke of York in Commercial Court are both great bars.

White's Tavern is also a good spot, it's a short dander from Cathedral Quarter and any of the locals will point you in the right direction.  Good grub and in the evening they get the patio heaters going outside in the courtyard and sometimes stick on the barbeque  O0
Does my face look bothered?

Its been a while since I partied in Belfast, but Friday/Saturday night some good
places for the 30 somethings were the Wellington Park Hotel and Madisons
Hotel. Good crowd and the music was more mainstream than thump thump.

I'm not certain what's happening at White's at the moment.

Any Bar, Night Club, or anyone operating a Public gathering who lock any Exit Doors should be permanently shut down.
End of story. ... >:(

I agree. The law relating to Exit Doors should be well known to any establishment which is open to members of the public. Desk Top lawyer has an item headed Sign and notices and escape routes http://tinyurl.com/ao2rky Members of the public who are attending events should make themselves aware or the location of the safety doors. If they are locked advise the management or the security people.
