10,000 jobs lost?
« on: January 29, 2009, 12:20:52 AM »
The Midnight News on BBC Radio Ulster included an item which said that Sports Minister Gregory Campbell has ruled out the controversial plan for the Maze Stadium.

The website mentions 10,000 jobs. That sounds like a large number of people to run a sports stadium. There would have been a large number of people employed in building the place but if it had proceeded would 10,000 have been required to run the place? There would have been staff to look after the administration, catering and grounds ... a hotel, a museum and several shops would have employed a few more. I'd love to know how there was the potential for 10,000 jobs to be generated.
