St John's Ambulance
« on: February 15, 2009, 01:48:21 PM »
Here's some St John's Ambulance photos that would have been taken around the time of WW2 in and around Belfast. My mother Mary Magee (later Pimley) appears in most of them.

The next one was probably taken in November 1947 but outside Belfast. Do you know where?

This is a selective close-up of the above photo to show some of the faces.

An unknown lady with my mother.

Lined up at the side of the road for a photo. Note there are some more further up the road.

The remaining photos show how beautiful the St John's ladies of Belfast were in these times. Maybe you (or your dad) married one of them?

Does anyone recognise anyone?
Do the people of Glocca Morra wonder how things are here?

Hi TrickyPaul,

It's just struck me ... I think that picture of the Cinema may be the Tonic in Bangor.

Good eye Christopher    :)
I used to be indecisive.   Now I'm not so sure.
