I remember this well, it's me and my mates.  There was a telephone box to the left and if you missed it there was a lamp post to grab on to before going on to the road. Good thing was there wasn't much traffic. We used to slide on pieces of card board:dance1:

  Great coats, a bit heavy, especially if they soaked the rain up.

I remember this well, it's me and my mates.

it amazes me that fennians could afford duffle coats :)

What makes you think those people passing were fenians?   From the direction they are coming, they have either come down from the Shankill or Old Lodge Road.  They may even have got out of a car from the car park.
I still have my duffle coat.  I bought it 33yrs ago.
