Union of Youth Against Sectarianism
« on: December 19, 2006, 07:32:35 PM »
The Union of Youth Against Terrorism was formed during 2006. They are a group of Politically minded youths. Their aim is to promote equality amoungst Protestant and Catholics, Republicans and Loyalists, Nationalists and Unionists. They have been introducing themselves to Parties across the board from Sinn Fein to Fine Gael, Finna Fail to the DUP. Their aim is to make Ireland a better place. They require the help of everyone on the island.

Details about their group have been posted on the Bebo website which sadly contained sectarian comments following an attack on fifteen year old Michael McIlveen in Ballymena earlier this year and his subsequent death as a result of his injuries. Dr Rachel O'Connell was appointed a few months ago as Bebo's head of corporate and social responsibility. Her task is to increase the protection of the young members of Bebo against such issues as internet child abuse and cyber bullying.  Dr O'Connell came to Northern Ireland to meet the principals of seven post primary schools and police officers in Ballymena.
