RabRow,I think the Hughes-Dickson flour mill was in Divis street facing Dover street Just between Divis flats and St.Comgall`s school. There may have been a methodist church on this site 100 years ago.

I seem to recall a Bath Place. Wondering was that where an old haulage firm use to be. I can sorta remember seeing that on the back and sides of the old carts they used to use.  Mighta been Cowan's. I have a mate who's father use to work for them.  I'll have to have a word with him.

What I can make out of the photo in the book [after you said it],it does look like something. .Place not Street.

Cheers, Rab.

Hi RabRow, the street you are looking for might be Ardmoulin St. which had the Hughes -Dickson flour mill on its lower corner and either a school or church at the other corner.Bath place ,which was a cul de sac would have been on the other side of the road and a little furthur down.I used to go there as a boy in the office of Barney Hughes`s to collect mail from a post office sorting office.I think CANTRELL AND COCHRANE  also has a mineral water factory there in which my granda was a foreman.

wasn`t there a wee protestant church along side where Hughes and Dickson`s mill used to be? I think there was a wee short street there, was it Alexander St West? I know there was a wee church there.

The street that is shown between the mill and the church seems to have only two names....short names.

I'll see the mate and see if he can blow it up a bit. That should give us an idea.

The Alexander one,is maybe the committee rooms of the church. But could be further away from the church itself.
