Pentio,
Very many thanks, they are great photos. I can't believe there has been so much development on the whitewell road. Can you believe when I left, from the the front of the Throne hospital right up to Floral road there were only fields that belonged to local farmers. I used to walk up that road quite often to see my very first girlfriend (Lauren Zukor) ;) who lived just past the floral road intersection.
You're very kind to go out of your way to take those Pentio and it is very much appreciated. I will of course share them with the family. Especially my ma who is still showing the last lot off to everyone at her aged care home. :)

I used to live in 36 Thorburn Road and also went to the Throne Primary School (1950-1960).  The houses developed a serious structural fault and had to be pulled down.  There were house built by the same builder in Comber, Darragh Road, and they also had to be pulled down at the same time.  I pass through the White City every day to and from work, and they've only half of Thorburn Road re-built.  All the street names have been kept though.

I recall a house opposite the traffic lights where the gap in the wall shows the house entrance ;)
