Any child exiles from Belfast?
« on: April 22, 2009, 04:48:14 PM »
I was only about 4 and my bother was 7 when my family departed Belfast for Ontary-ary-ario.  I recognize the place-names here and many of the references although I don't have many memories of when I actually lived there.  I remember visiting relatives when I became older.

I'm sort of "mid-atlantic".  I don't sound like I'm from here, yet I don't sound like I'm from there either.  I'm wondering how many others who visit this forum are in a similar situation.  I certainly don't spend much time wondering about it, but am merely curious.   :)

I left Belfast when I was just turning 9.  We came to NY and I went to school here- so I sound mostly American, until I get mad and the Belfast comes flooding out!!  There are quite a few members on here that left young and emigrated to other places. :)
