Hello,
I am desperately trying to find a family called Ancell in the Nelson area who arrived in NZ in 1971 from Warwickshire in England.
I have important news about a relative which I would like to share. Does anyone know of this family?
Cheers, Joyce

Hi Joyce,
These are the only Ancell’s I could find for the South Island in New Zealand. I’ve entered the phone numbers s you’d call them from the UK. The last two will be different people as Nelson and Timaru are quite a distance from each other.

Thank you for that. I know that one of the family is a hairdresser so that is useful. Cheers, Joyce

During her state visit to Australia, Jacinda was having a whinge about Australia deporting Kiwi criminals back to New Zealand after they have completed their prison sentence.

The following editorial says it all,

Today if you are not a good citizen of a country and you migrated from another country then you should be sent back to where you came from.  Noone is asking that the immigrant be perfect but if you commit a crime and receive a one year sentence then you will be sent back.   :)

Indeed SJ and BTW I have great respect for the New Zealanders  but I reckon they were on a good thing as far as Australia's Social Security Welfare System was concerned but then again those bloody All Blacks v the The Wallabies, they are the problem. :)

Cheers.

I guess it depends on your leanings in local politics but your Prime Ministers appears to be held in high regard,

"New Zealand’s prime minister is showing the world’s how it’s done."

That's fake news John as he is a Cronulla Sharks supporter.

He refers to Scomo and he is a supporter of a rugby league  club called Cronulla Sharks who are a thuggish lot.
The reference was how could you be though highly of if you were a member of that team.
It,s a flippant remark because he is not the sharpest card in the deck
...in my humble opinion. :)

No worries SJ but I wasn't referring to Scomo, the article was about Jacinda Ardern the New Zealand Prime Minister. :)

Hello Sam,

Lovely to see you have you moved to N.Z. from OZ?

The Slieve Donard is closed and its weird walking around the grounds and no life about it!!
I always enjoyed your posts about the Midland,Europa and memories of Harper and Sally.
Is Paddy still in Las Vegas do you know?

May God Bless you and your loved ones and keep you safe from harm.
