Hope you're all doing okay.  Those aftershocks just keep coming.  Take care.  KC  :air_kiss:

You must have seen Buster Keaton in  "The General" silent movie.
While all was mayhelm around him he just kept plodding on. Never mind the American Civil War!
I feel like that with our tremors. I was the same in Belfast 1969-74. Tried to stay out of whatever the trouble was and being on Falls Road it wasn't easy. It seems to fit in with New Zealand ways--everyone tries to be nobody and thus avoid too much involvement.

Hi Greyghost and all you Kiwis.  Hope things have settled down there by now.  I'll get over there one of these days.  KC

Maybe that's why they are afraid to answer ...or they don't have the telephone line.   I know that there is a shortage of alcohol but I never thought that the phones and internet were not working. :D :(

Christchurch quakes have settled down, they are getting aftershocks of between 3 - 4.5 still bad enough to rattle the nerves. The weather here has been really bad, snow, rain, high winds, gee welcome to spring. Been a pretty rough month for us all.
I haven't been 100% lately but that's not unusual, I'm getting better. :)

Hi Greyghost, I'm very sorry to hear you haven't been well.  Hope you get better soon.  Imagine still getting aftershocks after all this time.  I know what you mean about the weather.  It's been a cold, wet winter here in Vic. too.  Come on summer!  It's good to hear from you.  Take care of yourself.   :air_kiss:

We have had bad weather here in the N.E. of Queensland.  Warm but humid.  Weather people said last week that the sea temp was 26.5c and we only need 27c for a cyclone to form.  At this rate we could have a cyclone before December and the official cyclone season doesn't start until after Xmas.  ;) ;)

Julia Gillard, Prime Minister of Ostraylya, is rudely awoken at 4am by the telephone.

"Jewleea, its the Hilth Munister here. Sorry to bother you at this hour but there is an emergency! I've just received word thet the Durex fectory en Sydney has burned to the ground. It is istimated thet the entire Ostraylyan supply of condoms will be gone by the ind of the week."

PM: "Shut - the economy wull niver be able to cope with all those unwanted babies - wi'll be ruined!"

Hilth Munister: "We're going to hef to shup some in from abroad... Brutain?..."

PM: "No chence!! The Poms will have a field day on thus one!"

Hilth Munister: "What about New Zulland?"

PM: "Maybe - but we don't want them to know thet we are stuck."

Hilth Munister: "You call John Key - tell hum we need one moollion condoms; ten enches long and eight enches thuck! That way they'll know how bug the ossie's really are!!"

Jewleea, calls John, who agrees to help the ossie's out in their hour of need.

Three days later a plane arrives in Sydney - full of boxes.

A delighted Jewleea rushes out to open the boxes. She finds condoms; 10 unches long; 8 unches thuck, all coloured black and white. She then notices in small writing on each and ivery one. .
