My sister Isobel Maginnes went to Belfast High at Glenravel Street late 50s/early 60s.  Strange but her best friend Rosaleen Osborne became a teacher at the school in Greenisland.

They'll take anybody Barry :( I'm really worried due to the lack of Tim Hortons there. I missed one yesterday(extra large, triple cream, double sweetener, memorise that) and went into withdrawal.

Not yet hcoid, it'll be around March 2013, a definite date should come this month. Takes time to drum up a sponsorship from Depends.   :D

I don't know a Gordie Lee LC, so he obviously wasn't a smoker, drinker or a sex addict. I will ask though   :)

"    Gordie Lee was the year above Mike and me. He was very dapper, blonde and drove a sports car to school...I think it was an Austin Healey Sprite. He had a liaison with the French assistant if my memory is right"     That's the reply I rec'd LC

I went to Belfast High from 88 -95. Great memories. I remember Mr Ewart very well, he was a great French teacher, he inspired me to go on to study it at QUB. Also Mrs Mabel Patterson the German teacher (formerly Miss Walker). English teachers Miss Millar and Miss Watters. Mr McKitterick who used to waffle on at length in history lessons, Mr McKillen for Chemistry (who I detested, sorry!), Mr Devine for Physics who scared the bejaysus out of us all. He had a squint so no one really knew who he was talking to unless he pointed at them. The worst ever though had to be the Geography teacher, cant even remember his name. Had a combover. He was a right pervert - took girls into his store room and used to scratch himself on desks. He did that once on  my desk... dirty [censored].
