I was one of the electricians working there, when Boot's Chemist  and the Northern Bank were built.

A solicitor's office in Victoria Street, just opposite the bank. I think my wages were 7.50 or 8 a week to start!

Office junior in a stockbroker's in Arthur st. Wages, 2.10.0. Mother took all of it and gave me back 3d a day for bus-fare. I walked to work and back home so I would have the money for the Plaza at lunch-time!! :P :P
