California Street in the old Carrick Hill area. Went to school at Barny (can't spell full name) on the Antrim Road from 1956 to 1961. Was expelled by Mister Steele.

Just thinking about Maeve brings me back to a long time ago when my mum used to perm Maeve's hair every few months and I had to stand and hand the papers and perm rollers to her, breathing in the stink of the perm.  Maeve then would slip me 3d. or if she was feeling generous it was a 6d.  She used to have a very good friend with her also and I can't remember her name.
