The area in between the Woodstock Road, Williowfield Street, the Castlereagh Road and the Beersbridge Road is all gone now with the exception of Euston Street. I was born in this area in Frankfort Street. My dad's family lived in Ashfield  Street and my mum's family lived in Belmont Street. The great thing we saw when we went there in 2006 is that the building that used to be the bank on the corner of Woodstock Road and Belmont Street was still there. Belmont Street is gone but the street sign was still attached to the old bank building.

IT sad that all these street names have gone and all the Little terrace houses have gone this is called progress but anyone trying to find their roots usually finds a car park or a dirty great block of flats where their house use to be. all the cariture     of the city has gone .

Thanks Jonnty,

I saw a picture of it before and I nearly died, when I was home in 2004 I couldn't get a feel for anything around Sandy Row there were so many changes.
