I must be having a bad day, canít believe that I did not check my 1969 Street Directory... will check the strength of my cider 🤣🍺

Anyway, here you go for George Blake, 28 Liffey St Belfast, a Chimney Sweep.

I suspect that this George was the one in the newspaper report for stealing the milk in 1951. I presume that this George is actually your Grandfather

The George Blake, Labourer who appears in the 1943, 1951 & 1960 is your Great Grandfather living at 4 Bedeque St.

Looks a possibility that George purchased 28 Liffey St in 1968
And as we see from the 1969 Directory he has his feet under the kitchen table

Thanks very much, they are probably all rels though I don't recognise them all. [Have to try and work that out! :) ] My grandfather Francis would have been at Fortfield in Dunmurry by 1960, but would like to work out where he lived in earlier years as per my post above.

I am hoping to find the residents in 1943 at 51 Lisburn Road In Belfast, Ireland.   I am expecting the surname John.  I do not know husbands first name.  Wife's name should be Agnes ( middle intitial S. maiden name Pilson )John.  Their son Trevor Pilson John died in May 1943.  His maternal grandparents are buried beside him later in the Belfast City Cemetery.  I do not know if his father survived the war or if Agnes remarried.  Thank you very much.

https://www.jordanssolicitors.co.uk/2017/01/inquiry-into-sex-abuse-allegations-at-rubane-house-is-best-forgotten/

"The Historical Institutional Abuse (HIA) Inquiry is examining allegations of abuse at Rubane House, Kircubbin.

The HIA inquiry was established in 2013 to investigate child abuse in residential institutions in Northern Ireland over a 73 year period up to 1995.

The Inquiry heard that 56 years ago four boys disclosed the abuse at the Catholic Home.

They stated that a Brother from the De La Salle Order abused them. The abuser is now deceased."
