Teresa aka tiglet (great id :) )
I checked Larne and no Sunnyside although there are 3 in the Ulster Covenant, not Maxwell, but at least it existed either as an address or a house name

Thank you Mary for the "Sunnyside" information. I hadn't thought to put just the name of the place into the search on the Ulster Covenant.
I'm glad you like my board name, Tiglet is based on Tigger, but I can't remember how I got nicknamed that or why we adapted the name.

Bernie, unfortunately I only have 1880 or 1907 SD's, I did check 1907 and could only find Millfield. again no Ashe, also checked Millford, Mill Street and Milltown.

Do you know your ggfathers trade?

they knew a james ashe who also lived there  so at least im making some progress .

Hello,
Anthony are you able to assist with this at all please?
It may be beyond the realms of possibility for a look up but am interested in street directories for 1830. Family of interest - John Murphy, (stone cutter/merchant)  Have no notion where exactly they resided however, a problem. Possible streets are York, Frederick, Little or Great George or perhaps Wellington, that I am aware of.
Grateful for any help with this one at all. Thanks.

Mr Bounce (another great id)  ;D
in 1880 and 1907   -  Sd's its Eliza Cairnduff, grocer at 150 Cromac Street.
1910  -   T. Anderson, newsagent at 150 Cromac Street
1918/1919   -  J. Gardner, saddler at 150 Cromac Street
19231925/1930/1931   -  W. H. Murdock, hardware
1940  -  W. H. Murdock, poultry merchant
1941  -  (just got this one new today, well, new to me)  still there
1942  -  (another new book)  still there
1948  -  (yep another one)  still there
1949  -  still there
1950  -  still there
1954  -  still there

ok I ran out of books, the rest are at my parents. ...
phew hope this is accurate, I have the next Keith Moon practising in the background and don't believe anyone when they tell you that a large cushion in the base drum stops your stomach jumping.  >:(

Can you look up 46 Great Patrick Street, Belfast for 1907, 1910, 1911.  Am seeking M R Ditty, occupation if she lived at this address.   I know a Mr Ditty was a salt store manager.

Also was either Boyle or Leckey at this address?

thank you

Polly

Hi Polly,
1907 - Patrick Street Great, 46. Salt Union Ltd.; works at Carrickfergus - W. H. Ditty, manager Belfast Branch.
1910 -  ditto
1911 - don't have that book
1918 - manager, Alex. Forsythe
this is a business address, not a home I think
in 1907 in the alpha section, it lists a W. H. Ditty, manager, 16 Trafalgar Street but in Trafalgar Street at No. 16 it says Vacant?
not in alpha section in 1910 or 1918
no M. R. Ditty showing anywhere
