As a matter of interest, you may wish to Google Earth the address at 17. Blue door, Red car on driveway. Wonít help your search but just my of interest to you.
Good luck with your search.

Yes, we did that already but we are talking late 1940's.  I tried the street directories as well but so many gaps in the years and no one replies in the street directory group...

The Watters you are researching, did they have a farm in Hannahstown?

not that I know off, but how long back are you going? My great grandparents etc lived in east Belfast going back to 1950s or 60s but I don't know where the rest of them came from or how far out they travelled/lived. Are you aware of any John Watters (very common name) or James (Jim) or Sadie or Agnes.

I'm sorry if this is not the right place. Looking to find some information on my family. Last known address was 8 Liffey Street, Surname Blake, would have been late 1950s into 1960s
Any help would be really appreciated

I can't see any Blakes at Liffey Street in the 1960 Belfast street directory on the Lennon Wylie website, the occupier of no. 8 is shown as a Richard Williamson:

https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/Lcomplete1960.htm

I can see a couple of newspaper death notices up to 1973 which confirm that the Williamson family were still living at no. 8 Liffey Street at that stage.

If there are any images posted above that are important to you, take your own copy - I cannot guarantee they will appear indefinitely.

Hmm that's certainly not them - All we have is a letter about my grandfather and his childrens refugee status to Wales which says "previous address 8 Liffey street, Belfast". The mystery continues!

Are you able to provide any other information, eg. forename, wife etc.?

These are the only Blakeís in Belfast from the 1943 Directory
Any of these names ring any bells?

George Blake was my grandfather and Elizabeth Blake was my grandmother. Before they left Ireland they had I believe four of the children. Thanks so much that's probably him!
