Thank you all very much. I really appreciate this.

Are those the present Annadale Flats to the left in the 3rd picture?

Sorry Jay, can't help you out on this as I am in Canada and away too long.  I just had to laugh to myself, Bill sent the pictures to me, in Canada by email from Scotland. Harrydunn in Carrick, cleaned them up and Jay I don't know where you reside but it gives you an idea of how helpful everyone is on here.

Jay, yes the third photo shows the Annadale flats as they are today.
The photograph has been taken at a slight angle and does not show
Sunnyside St. which runs between the bungalows and the flats.
They ran from Sunnyside St along the embankment to the beginning
of Annadale Crescent. Basically on the same site as Hampton court.
Cleared in the late sixties and many sold for 50 a lot going to farmers.

There were several bungalows just below the telephone box in the photograph referred to. The Corporation wanted them all cleared before the Ulster '71 festival held in Botanic Gardens. Nearby were Botanic Bungalows and Lockview Bungalows at the Stranmillis roundabout.
