Does collecting Link Backs for Belfast Forum qualify as a hobby ??? I've just got one from the Downpatrick & Co. Down Railway. That's the first one in the Tourist Attraction set. I think I'll try to add more Tourist Attractions ... after all the summer's coming and people want to go out and about 8)

cjc, so bad that he has been seen buying wine gums from the all night garage and anti freeze in the hope that it tastes like doctored cheap Italian wine....he has gone all quiet,we would help if he would come out of  denial and discussed it on here.
Bogey , had a bottle of Twin Vines Zinfandel Rose from Puglia tonight...tasted like Vimto and windscreen spray.   ghastly.

One of my hobbies is kayaking.  I belong to the kayak club in my hometown.  Also gardening, scrapbooking, and antique hunting.  I too also have an extensive wine collection and enjoy touring  the local wineries and collecting also on my travels abroad.

Ah the Retsina ....Liokri Retsina with  food is actually good.
Then there is Demestica aka Domestos.
Some of the Boutari wines are O.K with food and Thessaloniki too. We had a superb wine made by a Monastery on Mount Athos, but what is it with the Greeks and the massacre of the grape?

The niagara region in ontario produces mostly, pinot noir, rieslingand chardonnay.
due mostly to the fact that they are resistant to frost.
due to the climate here, they are usually more lighter and fruiter as they are higher in acids.

Also the ice wines produced locally are excellent.

Interesting Kat. Sounds similar to the Alsace region. I wonder if Ontarian wines have the same mineral and almost petrol like quality of the upper Rhine region. Not a quirk I am keen on but nothing better than a good spatlese to accompany a Thai Green curry
