Great photos of St Louises'.
I left in 1970 - I think!!
Lots of memories. Not all good but funny now looking back.
First photograph is outside the main assembly hall and the photograph where the girl is leaning on the car, is where we assembled after lunch and before afternoon classes began.
I don't remember Miss Craig.
Some of the teachers when I was there - Miss Small - Latin. Miss McKenna - French. Miss Murray - History. Mrs McKenna - Geography. Miss McCormick - Domestic Science. Mrs Mc Fadden - not sure.
Mr McCann - English. Miss McCarthy - Art
Mr Flynn - Latin
I can see clearly the PE, Maths, RE and music teachers faces, but just can't remember their names!
Remember the wee shop just outside the school gates?

Remember well the detentions for not complying with any uniform bits - beret, gloves, belt, and they had to be carried around with you all day. We had to have our names on them in case they went missing!!

I don't know any of the girls in the photos, but I believe the teacher with the dark outfit on, standing beside the girl with the paper in her hand, is Mrs Kerr.
We were in her class for sewing. From Scotland if I remember correctly.

We used to put plain pins in the toecap of our shoes, and in the quiet of the class, whilst we were all sitting around the tables doing our needlework, we would stick the pin into each others legs. All of a sudden the silence would be broken by someone shouting out in pain! :D Mrs Kerr would be most frustrated 'Girrrls! Girrrls! What is happening?!!
We all looked so innocent :D

omg that's evil ::) lol the 2 teachers you see never taught us but miss Graig was our form teacher for that yr we were 4f but she used to teach us art, our last yr at school we never got any real lessons but were taught how to light a fire!!! we got to bath a baby doll. and learn how to look after a baby..and told the facts of life by fr Murphy according him..

the best was we all knew how to light a fire and bath a baby lol i think!!they were getting us wee housewives ready to face the world lol

when i went to the school  a few yrs back there were girls seniors with their boy friends, one or 2 expecting a baby (them baby class,s would of help them lol )and their car keys and all you seen was a car load of brown bombers leaving school.. god how it has all change and i don,t think for the better..

miss begley was our form teacher when i started 1F  do you remember the ribbons and your house button.. oh how i would love to go for my school dinner
