A Easter in Portrush in the 60's, Fawcetts Hotel and the Captains Cabin, what a spot, and not forgetting the Langhome Hotel, party central.

Fawcett's hotel was at the bottom of the street shown in the photo.  Also next to the Northern Counties Hotel. :)
I'm patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it ...

Barry's in the early 1960s

Many’s a time I got a ride on those cars situated on the beach road just down from Barry’s Amusements , I truly believed I was steering the car . I was lucky as Portrush is only a few miles from where I was born and reared so we were there most weekends as kids in the summer packed into the back of my Dads drop top Triumph Herald with the hood down and onto the West Strand for a bathe and a picnic with the obligatory hairy tartan picnic blanket , egg and onion sandwiches ,dilute orange juice for us kids and the big tartan thermos of tea for Mum and Dad , happy memories , thank you for posting that picture  :)
