DID ANYONE WORK IN THE BELTEX

I WORKED IN THE BELTEX FOR A WHILE, ALONG WITH JIM MAGUIRE AND LARRY MC GRANDALS. MY SISTER ALSO WORKED THERE.
WE USED TO HAVE OUR LUNCH UP IN THE LOFT AMONG THE PIDGEONS.

My great uncle, a Shankill Road man worked in the Beltex factory in the 1940's.  He was killed at the Rinhka Dance Hall in Islandmagee one night by one of his fellow workers from Ardoyne.  The dance was a work night out, it was near Christmas so I assume it was the Christmas do.

My uncles name was Henry Carney, the man that killed him was a man by the name of Edward Gerald Falls.

My uncle left a wife and a 4 year old son.

I think my mother May Toal married name Owens worked there. Maybe her two sisters Teresa and Jane as well.

Hi ulsterman I think Brian is having some problems. Some of his comments haven't been really necessary. He has upset people on other threads lately. Some quirks are better ignored.
