Lived close and attended Ballygo from 68 to 74.
Remember Beatnik whose leg lifted every time in unison with the upward motion of the cane,  Billy Williamson, football coach and the wee big man who offered all the hard nuts a fair dig, even though he was 5 foot nothing,  Rev Cooke who could swing a cane better than any known man,
What was the name of the two cottages the school had before Ardaluan

I went to Ballygo from the year it opened, that year (1957?)some ejit who thought he was a hard man brought an air pistol to school and got caught with it.
He appeared at the assembly in front of the whole school, was made to bend over a chair and given six of the best by Charlie (Chuck) Caldwell the headmaster, Old Chuck didn't hold back! The next few years were the Quietest school years I have ever known.
