A Sharper Shot Camera Club, New Members wanted
« on: October 28, 2010, 07:27:32 PM »
New members welcome young and old.
To become a member of the camera club you don't have to have a vast knowledge of photography or have a big fancy camera. The camera club is set up for a bit of fun and for members of the club to learn together. You will learn how a camera works how use the cameras manual settings, how to use studio equipment and more. We will have days out taking images. Meetings take place on the first floor of 14d Owen O'Cork Mill, 288 Beersbridge Road, Belfast on Thursday evenings 7.30pm from September to June. The Mill, a 19th century listed building, is centrally located and easy to find. There are excellent free parking facilities there is disabled access to the Mill but the tolit is not fitted out with disabled aids.
If you would like to join the camera club call Ian on 07979911995 or email  [email protected]

Hi Karinl your camera would be fine, the purpose of a camera club is for people to learn all about photography.
If you interested go to my website and fill in the on-line membership form.

Of coarse you can bring along your Brownie camera. If you could give a short talk on it some night I would really appreciate it very much.

Do you think I should pull the plug on it?

After Jack Hackett made me think twice about starting a camera club in East Belfast I have made a few enquiry's and iv been told new members had to be turned away from a Belfast club this year.
So A Sharper Shot Camera Club, East Belfast is going ahead as planed.

Good luck with your club. :good:

Out of interest are there club fees etc, does the camera type matter ie digital/35 mm?I've got a lumix fz28 but was thinking about upgrading to a dslr as I've got an old Pentax K1000 with lenses that will fit a digital Pentax.

I honestly don't mind what cameras people bring along.
I'm going to start the meetings in December and we can sit down to talk about a club name, how fare we want to go with the club, be it a fully fledged club or a group that just do our own thing.
If it turns out to be a group we could put a small amount of money in the pot for electric etcetera.
Regardless what happens it wont be to regimental, I want it to be fun.

Hi there, After careful consideration I have decided not to continue with the camera club dew to a lack of time to commit to it. I apologise to anyone who had an interest in joining. If you want to join a club please select your nearest club from the list below. Ian
