Sandgroper's sandpit
« on: November 22, 2010, 04:25:22 AM »
I've noticed there are a few people on here with connections of sorts to west aussie and I thought I might open a topic for any sandgropers to post their photos or comments on this wonderful place. I'm afraid that even though I've been around most of the eastern 2/3rds of the country and I've been in the west for more than 30 years I've never been in the northern half of the state, so I'm hoping there are others out there with photos of places above Lancelin that the are prepared to post.
I'm living in Bunbury so I thought I would start of with a few photos from around there.

Will be posting more soon
but only if they're of interest

Sandgroper your pics are great :good:  I regularly walk around the inlet, it's a 5km walk and we take our kayaks out there too.

Yes it's not a bad wee dander. I manage it about 3 or 4 times a week.
I have quite a few photos of the area. Some even of dolphins in Koombana bay before the Dolphin center took over. I will have to get them on here if and when found.

Thanks I C. We are blessed with manificent sunsets almost daily over the Indian Ocean. I wish I was a better photographer to be able to do them justice. Not just a point and shoot snapper who takes a thousand shots to maybe get one reasonable one. The benefits of digital cameras...lol...
I do have a couple of the dolphins here, which I took with actual film many years ago, but sorry to say they faded while locked up in my album. I will try to scan and post them.

Hi
Here's a few from a bit further south Esperance area

This one is "Frenchman's Peak."  I personally dont think it's as good as "Napoleon's Nose" of course.

Hi Sandgroper.  Great photos of Esperance.  It's a really beautiful place with gorgeous beaches.  Have you any pictures of the Albany area?  I love that town.  KC
