Twenty past three on Thursday 12 September 2019 and from what I can see, lots of photos posted to this topic have now been replaced with a TinyPic message, I knew that TinyPic were closing down the uploading service, but didn't think that they would pull the plug  on photos already posted.  I didn't use them, but I'm conscious that many others did.

This is similar to the consequence of what Photobucket did a while back... I DID use them, and lost hundreds of photos (and countless hours posting them).

I hope the TinyPic photos on this topic haven't been lost, but if so, that's a disgrace.

From what I can see, most if not all of the photos hosted by tinypic have disappeared from this forum, on most threads.  :(

Such a treasure trove lost, I hope it's not permanent.  :(

If there are any images posted above that are important to you, take your own copy - I cannot guarantee they will appear indefinitely.

the best actor of the three was the guy in the middle
    STROTHER MARTIN   imo
I agree. Strother Martin was a character actor who appeared in many John Wayne movies, as well as Cool Hand Luke and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid with Paul Newman. He had a wonderful gift for comedy, and stole many a scene from the stars he worked with. He was hilarious as the horse trader in the original True Grit. If you watch the more recent version (with Beau Bridges) those scenes with the horse trader are a complete bore, in comparison. I wonder how many people remember his name now.

Yeah he was a good character actor in minor roles , let’s face it , his most famous line was “ what we have here is failure to communicate “ in Cool Hand Luke , hardly qualifies him to the best Actor category.

Bread the photo is alan ladd and van Heflin from shane. Alan although one of the best looking actors was self conscious of his height. It's said when he acted with Sofia Loren there was a trench for Sofia to walk in to make alan taller. He was a great actor who sadly took his life when his looks and his movies waned.
