My parents on their wedding day 13/6/1945  (I was born Oct 1945)

Thank you Dot. My Father left Belfast 1940. Came to England, joined Wimpey, Married Mother

13/6/1945. In that photo, do you notice what a big fist he had ? Never raised it in the house.

One night he was working a night shift on an open cast coal site near Bedlington. Father was

half way up the jib of the drag line, greasing it. Some one below started the machine and the

chain went over his left hand taking two of his fingers !! Could have took his arm, his life.
If the fates decree you're going to lose give them a damn good fight...

PTS 68 C and D Belfast City Hospital.
20 of us had a 50th Reunion at the Europa in June. We had a great time, wonderful memories, wonderful people.
Another one is planned for Oct but I won’t be able to attend that one unfortunately. I am 3rd from the right in the front row. The pic was taken in 1971 closer to the time of our graduation but the reunions celebrate the year we met as scared young things.
