Hi, Ulsterman 76, Do you mean Walton st,off the Crumlin rd or Wilton st off the Shankill rd?

jamc, funny you should ask because I have had ancestors live in BOTH streets  :smile:

Hi Ulsterman, somewhere on Belfast Forum there is a photo of Derry St. The view is from Crimea St. towards Snugville St. My sister lived in #1 Derry St.

Edmor, My ancestors the Annesleys lived in Derry Street, by all accounts it was an Annesley stronghold.  :smile:

Derry st, looking up towards Snugville st from Crimea st, no 9 is  the first house on the right,Billy Bates, no 11 Miskimmin, 13 Harrison

My husband lived on Walton Street his name was George (Geordie) Smyth.  It was on the Crumlin

Knew the Andrews family from Derry Street. Joker Jnr (Pride of the Shankill FB)and Joker Snr, murdered in the Four Step Inn. RIP

My da came from walton street his mum was mary nicholl she lived in 49 . His da was a prisoner of ww1 sammy nicholl rir 11th batt .I think  my mum came from oregon street her name was ethel robinson .both gone now in last few yrs rip mum &dad..they were great crumlin rd people and iam glad they were ..
