SOUDAN STREET OLD PHOTOS FROM MID 1960'S to 1970'S

can anyone please help,i would love to see some photos of SOUDAN STREET taken in the mid 1960's to early 1970's and if possible does anyone know of any local corner shops in this area at that time.i remember visiting my mothers relatives at that time as a young boy of about 7 or 8 years old in SOUDAN STREET.

thanks i take a magic potion,do you happen to know if excise street and elizabeth are still there today,im not from belfast myself but lurgan,i have an interest in old streets of belfast.

Sorry  goshawk,  no  can  help,  i  left  Belfast  in  73,  but  don't  give  up, there is  alot  of  helpful people on  this  forum,  good  luck.

I have taken some photos of how Soudan Street looks today.Sadly none from back then.

id love to see the photos of modern day soudan street, as a child of about 7 or 8 i went into my mothers aunts at 28 and 46 soudan street.

Goshawk,Sorry I don't have any pics for you, but my grandparents lived in Soudan st also,No 84. Their name was Mc Kee. And by the way my son's name is Paul Allen !!!!

Hello did you know the Masons or Buntings that lived at Soudan Street Belfast numbers 28 & 46 my Grandmother was called Olive Bunting,her  sisters were Dorothy Mason Nee Bunting,Ena Mason Nee Bunting,there was also Harry Mason he was married to Either Dorothy or Ena his son is called Edwin Mason and Harry Masons Brother was called Henry.

Thanks for this info I just asked my mother she said her aunt Dorothy Mason Nee Bunting did live in front of that Bakery her sister was called Ena Bunting married to Naylor and Dorothy went to St.Simons Church I've a photo somewhere on my computer of them I could maybe send you a copy is that Bakery building still standing.

Haven't been there for a long time. Moved to Glengormley then to Antrim just have been football ground
but always went home via the motorway so don't know what the area is like now.
Looking forward to the photographs.

Hi Paul,

Just wondering if you still have the photo of the old Bakery you were talking about in your comment?

Also wondering if you have any photos of Soudan Street or surrounding streets as I am currently part of a THEN and NOW Project based on Donegal Road/Sandyrow and Grosvenor Road so any photos would be greatly appreciated.
