I recognised a name NOEL VENNARD. There was a little boy of that name lived a few doors from me in Bangor, I used to play with him but they moved away when we were about 4. He had an older brother who wore glasses.

Also, my friend's father came from Cambrai Street, and came to Australia in the 1940's. His name was Kirkpatrick, and he was in the Merchant Navy. She'd be rapt if anyone knew her relatives.

Aussietrekker, Noel Vennards older brother did have glasses, particularly thick ones, Noel had dirty fair/blonde curly hair, they left Camberia st in their late teens.

Yeah, this little boy had an unusual shade of light hair, almost a scruffy white as I recall. It was a long time ago, but I can still see him in his little overalls. They lived two or three doors from us, then moved and were never heard of again. I remember him going up to the bakers' van with me for a "wee bun'. I was right about the glasses, must be the same family.

I remember Phillip Rainey also Alan Berry, Billy Gilmore and Matthew Gordon.  There were some other lads who didn't live in Cambrai Street but were always in the crowd.  Jim Taylor mmmmm  :-*  often had a white shirt on.
