Sorry Freda, tried everthing, nothing coming up for your Richards birth even with variants of his surname. Richards 1st marriage has him Stevenson, but his children births are down as Steenson, the 2nd marriage it's Steenson , so I think the 1st marriage is just a spelling mistake and the name is Steenson.

Richard state in 1901 born Belfast, 1911 co Down, theres only 1 birth I can find with a father Thomas Steenson and mother Agnes and that for a Joseph 1869, her maiden name was Robinson. There is births for children of Thomas Steenson and a Mary Smyth for around castlereagh area.

thank you so much it more than good of you to try the only way to find them in 1901 is to go to matilda street as they have stinson down and bad spelling of maidens names as surname the only reason thought of agnes was have  agnes steenson age 50 died a 9 matilda street 1891 so just assumed it may be his mother
I know he had a sister called Mary Anne who became Mary Anne Rea my own grandfather was Thomas William and was born 1905 its like Lucinda his wife I have searched ancestry every where and cant
find a lucinda lyons her father was John also Hilland street seems to vanish
sincere thanks for all your finds who knows the families of ours and other lady could be cousins
thanks again

Freda I think we've got are wires cross, are you talking about www.ancestry.co.uk, if so they are no use for Irish BMD's. The site I was talking about is www.ancestryireland.com

to Scarlet
just seen your post
My great Grandfather Richard Stevenson or Steenson had a sister Mary Ann she married Andrew Rea
they had a son called Andrew who married Annie Marshall they had a daughter Agnes married to John Grey
Agnes is near 90 but still alive John Grey is Agnes second husband her first was called Jameson dont know first name is was Agnes herself told me her mothers name was Annie Marshall in fact I remember Annie from when I was a child
if we can put all these pieces together will be great
