Hi Bricat, I worked in Isaac Andrews with some of the Maize family. I think John Maize lives in Calgary Alberta still,at least he was there in 77 when i lived there. i used to park in Beverly st where there was a side door into Isaac Andrews garage where i worked.  Tom

Do you remember Gavin McWhirter serving his time in the Garage?.

Well Brown low , i am sure he worked there at some time when i was there. I served my apprenticeship there then left for a while, then was asked to come back, then later left to work for North down enginering until i left for Canada in 74.

I worked for Hamiltons across the road from Andrews Mill.

Hi Farnbarn,  we used to live in Queensland down in Calgary untill about 79. Now live north of Lacombe ab. I wondered if you were talking about acadia in calgary.

I served a part apprenticeship there, I left before it was completed to join the Merchant Navy as an Engineer.  John Maze Jnr and Sammy Murray were my mates.  Arthur Hannah my my mentor, I remember some great characters including the McKelvey brothers in the paint shop, Stormy Weatherall and Paddy Devlin.

 I remember the mcateers there was Richard , june and Nessie , as far as I know Richard lives on the shankill somewhere , Nessie worked in mackies for a while
