The Harry Hart pic, from 1953 is something else,it’s so clear.
By the looks of it was taken in playground.
The 12 foot wall ,too separate the girls from us.
And those toilets....Jeez.

Indeed,The Christmas Bazzar in the old parochial hall.
One of the highlights of the year.
Midnight Mass, when it was said in Latin.
Remember people from the PUL coming to Midnight Mass.

I don't remember them at Midnight Mass but I recall very vividly having more than a few drinks with some of them - either in or around the Strand and Bridge Bar or up at Tullyard and Clonduff and then heading to Mass myself later. Not too much the worse for wear as I actually can recall this to this day!

Hi,Olelad.
The Mc Larons..from Clonduff Drive..one of the sisters went.
If I recall Mrs Ruddy also.
Talk too Jackie Fitzpatrick a lot.
He was saying ,during the conflict, they had a standoff with some Woodstock Tartan members, various insults, being shouted at each other.
Jackie shouted over too Tommy Locke, aye what the time ,you came too mass with us.lol.lol.
So they have went too Catholic services.

I remember a couple of times when we were kids and protestant friends coming to mass for one reason or another, going out later on or whatever. One or two of them went on to have illustrious careers in various loyalist groups. It’s like the time I went to join the Boys Brigade with a prod mate, was told it was protestant only outfit. I don’t know if that was their official position or just a local (Ravenhill Avenue) one.
