Olelad, Danny would be around the 56/57 mark. As I was born in the short strand I can boast that Down have won 5 all Irelands. But as I am an adopted Armargh man, having been living in Lurgan since 1975, I can boast that between Armargh and Kerry, we have 37 :D

old skool strand all follow down from wot i know but these days !
we moved to east belfast from north/b so although ive lived only a year there its the county of birth so im stuck with antrimn

hello jr 56,yes i do remember that encounter with rusty, thought it was winter, someone dared me to knock his door or toss a lump of mud at the window-------very foolish, that man could run like a good middle distance runner, what was the name of the oul grump, who never give us the ball back, when we played football at the garages,if i recall my late mother had to come round and give him what for,did robert cardwell get badly hurt jumping in to someones back garden, his leg was badly mangeled.and you will remember the famous games of walley at the garages. :)

Hey Marty1953 , aye i do remember the games of wally at the garages ( our back garden ran to the garages  .if you didnt already know ...you know now who i am ! ) there were two culprits who wouldnt give the ball back. The first one was half way down on the lefthand side from the lane he was Jimmy Millar RIP and same side in the very corner was Thompson ! i sometimes wondered if Thompsons criteria for givin it back was what religion the kid who asked for it was ( i may be being unfair to the man...any memories on that? ) Do you remember that someon painted on the wall END US AGRESSION IN SE ASIA ! about 1965 , that didnt go down to well ! that was the first political graffiti i ever saw.
if the ball went over the garages on the righthand side it could be tricky gettin it back from battler Britain who lived opposite your house. .by the way, spurs couldnt bate caseys drum!ha.
