I remember the wee playground - now gone and built over, and the wee funfair that used to come to the Lane every year.
Iceland is where the chippy was.

I remember the rugby guys called it Diddy W*nkers Lane. :P

In the 1950's a whist drive used to be held in a hall at the rear of St. Anthony's church every Sunday night.

An uncle of mine used to go frequently and sometimes his luck was in.

Whist drives were popular social occasions at that time.

Does anyone have access to the marriage records at St. Anthony's?  I'm looking for a copy of my parent's marriage certificate.  They were John Kinsella and Florence (Walsh-McNamara) Kinsella.  Married May 6, 1942?  Thanks!
