I met Mrs O'Kane at a function last week and told her that she was still remembered by the boys of St Anthony's whom she taught.  That included two of my sons who were there in the 70's.  She is looking really well and in great form as usual.

Remember them all! What about Graham's Chemists and Florrie's Wool Shop in the block below RUC Station, and there's many more.

You know my vintage Rose, so of course I remember the Imperial. On opposite side was Jimmy Burns the barber, but what was the name of the newsagents on the other block beside him? We used to get the Knockout and School Friend every Tuesday. It was beside a butcher's and a fishmonger's, names escape me also.

I don't know that one as we got our papers from Hodgetts Newspaper Shop beside the Cregagh Inn.

Any chance you could send me that 1946 photo again?  It's not coming up very well.  When you add the file to the email, there should be some attachment options - choose medium size, or if you did that last time, then choose large size.  Sorry for the trouble.

My brother has this photo too but his is unrecognisable!  His sisters (us I think) were very bad when young and scribbled all over it
