Hi girls, I haven't been around for a few days, we went to Niagara Falls for our anniversary and Bobby's B-day. We had a lovely time, the weather was gorgeous and I even got a little trip across the border, I didn't spend much but did get a Comforter Set for 1/4 of the original price so I was a happy camper ;)

I couldn't stop watching CNN, it's hard to believe so many families are left homeless, you just cant imagine what they must be going through.  I was in touch with a friend who has a home in Fort Pierce FL, Luckily her and her husband are in Scotland until next month, ( they have a house there ) she has no idea what they're coming back to  :(
Jean, you and your group must get a good laugh at Aunt Maud's and just go with the flow, it sounds like that's all you can do  :D .
I'll be back later someone would like to use the computer :)
Hi Ruby, glad you and Bobby had a nice time and that the casino let him win ;)  don't you think when you get a bargin it makes your day.  been a long time since I've had a trip over the border.  It's going to be a shock when your friend sees the devastation when she gets back.  anyway  it's going to take a long time for it all to be put right again.   Liz :-*

Hi Liz, I have been watching the aftermath of Irma on CNN and it's unbelievable, so many people have lost their homes and I wonder about the poor people who don't have relatives to give them a temporary home.   :(

I have no idea what condition my friends house will be in, it's on a golf course.

I still enjoy shopping in the states but with our exchange I only buy if I know It's a good deal.  ;)

Hi Ruby , yes its heartbreaking to see the devastation in the Islands where they don't have homes that withstand the likes of that weather . So sad , Florida didn't fair well also .  I wonder if Gulf Shores got hit ?

G,night Ruby and girls  :-* have a good night

Ruby,  the last time I was down there we went to the big mall where everyone goes  and I swear if I could I would have bought out the place.   The weather says it's calming down and I didn't know there had been a third one hurricane.  I can only pray for those people and wonder  how they will ever get over it.  they say that the last big one, Catrina, the devastation has still never been fixed up and look at how long ago that was.  god help them.  Liz :-*

good morning everyone, I thought I was not getting my posts again but there was none so I hope everyone is keeping well and out enjoying this nice weather . my cleaning lady is here , TG, I now will have a nice clean room and a nice bed to get into ha.  I  hate wrecking the bed  she has done so nicely but I have to.   she was of on holiday and was telling me all about it, she had family come over from Poland , some for the first time and others  were here before.   I bet the gardens are all looking beautiful with all the rain and the sun is when everything fills out.   I heard someone on TV the other day talking about the gardens and  that some where ready to get them ready for winter, are you kidding,  we are not ready for that and I bet  the  gardens are not  ready to be plucked either.  anyway I hope the rest of your day goes well  and if you are having pain I wish  I could wish it away.  I complain but thinking of those poor people with all their houses under water and nothing left, what's to complain about , today anyway.  I watched R.Ray's show yesterday and she had this lady who the day the storm came gave birth and TG everything went well  but they had no where to go home.  anyway this company had heard of them and gave them a $1000 to help them.. I thought , what about all the 1000's of other people who have no one to give them anything.  but they  did a nice thing for these people.  now I'm done guys, and you're saying TG.   :D   have a great day.  Liz :-* :-*

Hi love, I have been catching up on Emails and pm's  and now I'm ready for a cup of tea. The weather has been lovely this week long may it last.  :)

Were you referring to the Galleria Mall in Buffalo ?  I love that Mall because it has Macy's  and  JC Penny's. ;)

There will be  lot of Snowbirds missing Florida next winter, the place my sister stayed in last year was hit so she won't be going back. She lives in a Seniors community and most of the people go south for the winter, but it sounds like a lot will be staying home next winter.

Ruby, My Cousin the one you know was is Fort Lauderdale by the sea, and they had to evacuate, But some of the Rangers Club folks that live in or have places in that area got them sorted out. But I was worried for them and also Val's Neices. Was glad when I checked FB the next morning to hear that they all made it OK.

oh Ruby,  I was getting worried that I was not hearing from anyone,  ??? I know my computer was ok so what was going on, well I discovered I must have touched the arrow that lets your mail  post from the bottom or the top  and then I noticed my date at the top of the page , which was why I kept thinking something was wrong, anyway I've sorted it and yes I had a long line of emails...phew ::) .  Ruby, being honest I don't remember the name of the mall  as it was the first time every being there.  it seems it's the one all the Canadians go to when they go down there, but it was beautiful so many stores in it.   We were walking through it when I spotted a shop that did ear piercing so I went in and had my right ear done at the top.   I don't think it's fair that we are not allowed to bring back more than we are if just going for the day, I think the Americans can bring back more than we can.     I was thinking that , lets hope we have a good winter so the snowbirds  won't feel it too bad, I just thought of something, will this affect Jackie and Vi?    Liz

you're right Ruby, Jackie would be the first to let us know if anything had happened to stop them from going down.  you haven't by any chance put your air on again.  I started to feel the humidity yesterday when my cleaning lady came and she opened the door  but it's supposed to be like this all next week so on mine goes again  ::)    does anyone watch 'The great British baking show''.  It said it was new  but it's not, the bakers are all the ones from the last season so I don't know why they called it new, I love it  and every time someone gets sent home I feel so sorry for them., they all try so hard.  anyway I hope the rest of your day goes well and the same for the week end.  I should let you know what happened to my friend I told you about a few wks ago.  she is in the cancer hospital in Hamilton  and they want to move her to Burlington  but she thinks the doctor there , he's top notch,  she does not want to leave him so I have to find out from my other friend ,who can tex,  what is going on.  I have phoned her a few times but I don't want to have her talking , I 'd rather just leave her a message so she does not have to answer, last time she was so tired I could not understand her.  my friend has gone to see  her and did not like what she saw, so a wee prayer  for her would be very welcome, thank you.  take care and god bless to everyone.  Love Liz :-* :-*

Hi Elizabeth. First of all, I haven't been getting notifications from the Forum. I just decided to have a look tonight. Second, my forum page is out of whack. I have no icons whatever. None for bold, underline, no icon for posting a photo. I also have no smiles what so ever. All I can do is post. Irma crossed the south east part of Alabama on it's way to Georgia. It wasn't so fierce by then. We will be going in January as usual. The storms always seem to go around us. Sorry, no smiley. xxx
