joseph houston born belfast
« on: July 02, 2006, 10:37:56 PM »
this is a strange one!!, talking to the older members of my family today, someone let slip that they thought that josephine houston  had an illigitimate son!! that would answer a lot of my question as to why she never married. seemingly he was born around 1917 and called joseph houston  after his grandfather. i heard that joseph ended up in america working for the chrysler motor group, so i would assume that his time in belfast would be spent in the auto trade, , does this name ring any bells with anyone? wonder if he would show up on the 1937 street directory? or if there is shipping records to america from ireland around the late 1930's

more information has suggested that joseph may have left for america due to lack of work in belfast around 1936
