New here, and researching my Irish history from the U.S. I have found a lot of good info in this thread, my Grandparents were both from Shankill on Carnan St in the 40's and 50's. If anyone knew someone listed below please get in touch. Trying to locate what family I still have back there, and fill in some gaps in my family tree while learning a bit. Thanks so much.

New Alex and worked with him in Mackies in the 70s.
Wee Rab Andrews from Hillview FB was another great drummer.
Is Rab Andrews the name of the lead drummer in the Whiterock currently?

Rab Andrews was lead tip in the Hillview FB for many years. I believe he may have passed on, not entirely sure about that ?
Not sure who the leading tip is in the Whiterock FB at the moment, but for some years it was a guy called Alex Orr.
Try the Whiterock Flute band's Facebook page, it may help.  :)

Owned by the Robinson family. They owned the scrap merchants at the Meadow.  :)
