Charlie Tosh???

Anyone have any info on Charlie Tosh the accordianist?

Had a shop in york street belfast fireplaces,also a record label hawk records,last i knew was living newtownbreda,also had a wee dabble in politics,

Not sure if charlie plays anymore must be gettin on in years now i worked for him in belfast fireplaces for a while and that was nearly thirty years ago

Yes, he must be a good age by now. I "googled" him and it would seem he is still in politics, or was a year ago. My brother bought his first house from him and that was more than fifty years ago and I think he must have been in the building trade, at one time, because my dad knew him. As for me, I remember him playing the accordian. Seems like yesterday!!

Charlie's daughter here ...He told me to post that "he's not that old yet !!!  :)
Great to hear you remember him and his accordavox !
Also wonders who you guys are  & would like to know.
PS Was the house he sold in Tobbercorran Avenue - with the green roof ? ( If so he says he was about 10 yrs old when they built it !! :)

Hi .. good to hear from you and glad your Dad is well. The house I was refering to was in Abbey Park at Stormont. My dad was a builder, his name was Billy Carnduff and I believe he knew your dad; he died just last year he was 95 years old.
This all started one night when we were talking about Belfast in the sixties and what a great music scene there was; we wondered where all of the musicians where today and I remembered your dad.
Please give him my best wishes.

 Dad will probably log on tomorrow himself  .. ... He can certainly tell a few good old tales from those days :)

Hello I was just talking about Charlie tosh he was a very good friend of my father and was just wondering how he is my daddy also worked in the sunflower Bar (big johns bar) many a years ago great to see the forum x Elaine

Hi Elaine, I am Charlie's daughter. Sadly Dad passed away Dec2012 still loving a wee drink or two or three !! and a good yarn !!!:)
