Remember it being played at the Ranch and it did not go down well.Time to go out for a smoke when it came on. Who bought the thing;anyone had it in their record collection ?

Can just about remember you Gerry considering it was 50 years ago. You were a good keeper and we were at Cregagh Swifts together back in the day. Won the Barry Cup with them against Ards Boys at Ballyclares pitch in 1969. Can't remember if you were on that team or not

Didnít play in that team think I Played for the swifts bit later . Although played for Cregagh youth club in 1966 when we did win everyone in u16 , the league and the cup against Cairn lodge and a guy called Spence ( think first name was Derek ) went on to play for the National team !! Canít remember the manager at cregagh swifts but there was a guy who was involved had something to do with Orangefield ?

The team just started off with guys kicking a ball about in Daddy Winkers. It evolved when Lawrence Walker, Denis McNamara and Jim Magill organised a proper team and entered the Dunmurry Youth League. Had a pitch called Sandymount out at Lambeg which has a slope like the Rocky rd. Team folded many years ago

Can remember the pitch ! And the guy I was thinking of is Dennis I think ! I remember watching Harland and Wolff welders playing on a Saturday morning at the Ormeau park and see they got right up the leagues ! And when I played Cliftonville were the whipping boys as only had amateurs play !

Fulton did when I was at st augustines but Dowd at that time was playing for Sparta at Finaghy ! We all wanted to kick Dowd in the annual teachers v pupils match with the U15 team but they wouldnít play that year think because they were frightened as we had a good team !

We played the staff in a Gaelic game in Cherryvale and got the absolute cr#p kicked out of us by the teachers. Always wondered who hated who more ?

Oh our team certainly hated the teachers more as I said they wouldnít play us as we had some good footballers but some tough lads too ! Micky Brady and a guy John Norwood were desperate to get at Dowd but he wasnít having it !! Think Oliver Norwood is a relation of John
