OK  My dad used to recite two different "songs"?

I do not think I was allowed to hear all of the words, but he used to start them and the laugh

One started   Devilarry had a canary up the leg of his drawers

Anyone familiar?

Hi MWG no that is not a bootboy song that song  has been around decades before any of the gangs
This is another bootboy song
The Ulster bootboys rule the town
we hunt for taigs and we put them down
we use steele hammers because they make no noise
we are the Ulster Boot boys

No worse than anyone else 40 years ago maybe if the young lads from Spinghill & Moyard  did'nt come down and throw
stones at the houses in Springmartin we would'nt have got involved in rioting.
As i say we where kids NOT like the ADULTS especialy the ones from Unity flatts who saved up all thier nice we
milk bottles and loose stones to  ATTACK A JUNIOR ORANGE PARADE on EASTER TUESDAY average ages of
children on parade of thier culture 7 to 15
