Sammy McIlroy went to the school, as did Benny Ross the famous Belfast bicycle street character.        Alice Simms from Meekon Street was awarded an MBE in the last Queen's honours list.
I believe all went on to to Ashfield.

Hi everyone, my name is Margaret Warden and I went to Mersery Street, here are a few more names you might remember, Sally Wilton, Audrey Atkinson (sadly died very young) Francis and Roy Lowry, Ronnie Bishop, Elizabeth Brown and Madeline Mcree.   I lived in Parkgate Parade until my early teens and my first job was in the shipyard.  Looking forward to hearing from anyone who remembers me.
